"Eyebrows are like fingerprints"
"They vary in shape, length and thickness. Your brows are unique,
so there is no such thing as one brow shape "fits all". My mission
is to share my years of beauty experience with you, in which I have
met and shaped the brows of thousands of beautiful people, both
inside and out." - Eliza

"People tell me I have great eyebrows and I correct them and say,
'No, I have the greatest eyebrow designer!' "
- Natasha Richardson,
actress
No one knows brows like Eliza Petrescu, the original "arch"
artist. She has been called "a magician," "a master of her craft,"
and most notably, "one of the most influential experts in the beauty
industry and for good reason. It was Eliza who put brow styling
on the beauty map, turning it into a grooming ritual that is not a
trend, but a "must-do" for both men and women.
Over the course of her illustrious career, Eliza, Waxing
Director/Eyebrow Designer of Exhale Mind and Body Spa, has shaped
some of the most famous brows in the entertainment and fashion
industries, as well as her loyal clientele who book a year in
advance to see her religiously every four weeks. One of her
celebrity clients, Leon Hall, has said, "I give her 10 minutes and
she gives me back 10 years!" It is because of her unparalleled
talent and loyal clientele that Eliza is consistently
featured on television programs and in top magazines and beauty
guides world-wide.
Originally from Romania, Eliza's passion for beauty and
helping others to realize their own natural beauty inspired her to
become a trained aesthetician. After coming to the United States in
1981, she started making a name for herself almost immediately by
working her way up the beauty ladder. Her first rung was managing
her own salon on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. As her reputation
began to grow, she caught the attention of some of Fifth Avenue's
most prestigious salons, joining forces with Frederic Fekkai and
John Barrett.
In 1998, Eliza partnered with Avon Salon & Spa in Trump Tower
where she launched the first brow sculpting salon in the world,
Eliza's Eyes, a boutique dedicated exclusively to the art of
eyebrow shaping. There, she reigned as "Queen of the Arch" for
almost a decade until they closed their doors in 2006. In early
1999, Eliza became a pioneer in the beauty industry yet again
when she created a line of eyebrow grooming products, launching with
a comprehensive brow kit for women and men.
Eliza's most recent endeavor occurred in 2006, when she
brought Eliza's Eyes to Exhale. Currently, Eliza's Eyes
is available in four of Exhale's eight locations around the
country, including the Upper East Side and Midtown in New York City, Dallas and in Santa Monica. There are plans to expand Eliza's Eyes in
additional Exhale locations in the future.
When she is not creating works of brow art in New York City,
Eliza can be found at her new Southampton, New York, location,
Eliza's Eyes House of Brows, a full-service house of beauty
that combines her exclusive techniques and products with the latest
non-surgical aesthetic applications, permanent makeup and makeup
artistry.
